What is image and video geotagging?

Geotagging means adding GPS location data to your file. For images it is stored as EXIF metadata. For MP4/MOV videos it is stored as ISO 6709 location metadata inside the video container. Apps like Google Maps, Apple Photos, and search engines can read this directly from the file.

Does geotagging images and videos help Google Business Profile rankings?

Yes. When you upload geotagged images and videos to Google Business Profile, the embedded GPS coordinates reinforce your claimed business location. This builds a stronger location trust signal with Google's local algorithm, which can improve your visibility in Google Maps and local pack results.

How do I bulk geotag images for Google Business Profile?

Select Image GeoTagging mode, upload up to 10 JPG, PNG, or WebP files, set the GPS location for each image (by searching an address or typing coordinates), add a keyword-rich title and description, then click Process. Download your geotagged images and upload them directly to your Google Business Profile under Photos.

Can I geotag videos for Google Business Profile?

Yes. Select Video GeoTagging mode and upload MP4 or MOV files. The tool injects ISO 6709 GPS location metadata directly into the video container without re-encoding video quality is fully preserved. Download and upload to Google Business Profile under the Videos tab.

Is my data safe? Are files uploaded to any server?

Yes, completely safe. Everything runs in your browser. Your files stay on your device and are never sent to any server. The only external requests are map tiles from OpenStreetMap and location search from Nominatim neither receives your actual files.

Does video geotagging re-encode my video?

No. For MP4 and MOV files, only the metadata container is modified using binary patching. The video and audio streams are untouched, so quality is fully preserved and processing is near-instant regardless of file size.

What formats are supported?

Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF all downloaded as JPG with GPS EXIF data. Videos: MP4, MOV downloaded in original format with GPS metadata injected. AVI files get title and description metadata (GPS is non-standard in AVI format).

Can I enter coordinates manually?

Yes. Each file card has manual latitude and longitude input fields below the map. Type in any coordinates and the map marker will update automatically. Conversely, clicking the map or choosing a search result will update the manual fields too.

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The Short Version

Your image and video files never leave your device. All geotagging processing happens entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or access your files at any point. The only data we collect is what you provide when creating an account.

Information We Collect

When you create a GeoTag Pro account, we collect:

Email address — used for login, account identification, and transactional emails
Display name — the name you set in your profile (optional)
Profile photo — if you choose to upload one (stored as base64 in your profile, never on a file server)
Phone number — optional, used only if you provide it in your profile
Usage data — credits used, files processed count, plan type, and join date

We do not collect: your images, your video files, location coordinates you enter, file titles or descriptions, payment card numbers, or any device/browser fingerprint data.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your account and manage your session
To track your credit balance and usage history (stored locally in your browser via localStorage)
To manage your plan (Free, Pro, or Unlimited)
To respond to support requests or payment inquiries
To send transactional emails (password reset, account confirmation)

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not share your personal information with any third party except as described in this policy.

Third-Party Services

GeoTag Pro uses the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google) — Authentication and Firestore database for account management. Your email and profile data is stored in Firebase. Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Web3Forms — Used to send email notifications when a payment proof is submitted. Web3Forms receives the email content you write in the payment form. No file data is included.
Leaflet.js / OpenStreetMap — Used for the interactive map. Map tile requests go to OpenStreetMap servers and are subject to OpenStreetMap's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is sent with map tile requests.

File Processing and Privacy

This is the most important section for most users. GeoTag Pro processes all files locally in your browser using JavaScript. When you upload an image or video to the tool, the file is read by your browser's File API and processed entirely in memory on your device. The file data is never transmitted to any server, never stored on our systems, and never accessible to us.

This applies to: image files (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF), video files (MP4, MOV, AVI), GPS coordinates you enter, titles and descriptions you set for each file.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store:

Your theme preference (light or dark mode)
Your usage history (file processing log, stored locally in your browser only)
Firebase authentication tokens (managed by the Firebase SDK)

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics scripts.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data (email, profile, credits, plan) is stored in Firebase Firestore for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at mohsinarshad877@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My Account". We will process deletion requests within 7 business days.

Security

Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, which uses industry-standard security practices including encrypted password storage and secure session tokens. We do not store passwords. All communication with Firebase uses HTTPS.

Terms of Service

By using GeoTag Pro, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the tool.

Effective: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GeoTag Pro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

GeoTag Pro is a browser-based tool that allows users to embed GPS metadata into image and video files for local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization purposes. The Service includes a free tier with daily credits and paid plans (Pro and Unlimited) with expanded credit limits.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Credits and Plans

Free Plan: Free accounts receive 50 credits per day (replenished daily at midnight). Each file processed consumes 10 credits. The free plan has a lifetime cap of 500 total credits processed per session.

Pro Plan ($5/month): Pro accounts receive 1,000 credits per day with no lifetime cap.

Unlimited Plan ($12/month): Unlimited accounts have no credit restrictions.

Credits are non-transferable and cannot be carried over between days on free plans. Credit balances are managed by our system and may be adjusted to correct errors.

5. Payment Terms

Paid plans are activated manually after payment verification. Payment is made via bank transfer or supported payment methods as listed on the pricing page. To activate a paid plan:

Complete payment using the details provided in the payment modal
Submit your payment proof (transaction ID and screenshot) via the payment form
Your plan will be activated within 24 hours after verification

Refund Policy: Due to the manual nature of plan activation, we do not offer refunds once a plan has been activated. If your plan was not activated within 24 hours of verified payment, contact us for resolution.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to registered users.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use GeoTag Pro to:

Embed false or misleading GPS coordinates into files intended to deceive Google or other platforms
Process files belonging to others without their authorization
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
Use automated scripts to abuse the credit system or create mass accounts
Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit browser-based processing
Violate any applicable law or regulation in your use of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All files you process through GeoTag Pro remain your property. We claim no rights over your images, videos, or their metadata. The GeoTag Pro software, brand, and content (articles, UI, copy) are owned by GeoTag Pro and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that geotagging your files will result in any specific improvement in search rankings. SEO results depend on many factors outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GeoTag Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, abuse the credit system, or engage in fraudulent payment behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at mohsinarshad877@gmail.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
